Hope everyone had a great New Year's ;D Care to tell me your resolutions (if any)?

As for me, New Year's Day marked the birthday of this account. The switch from fanart to original art. In May '06 it was registered, but I submitted my first deviation on 1st Jan '07... And Jesus, only 18 pictures submitted this year? I must've been in a SERIOUS slump... After all, I'm still trying to find my feet in this whole anime/manga business. Still trying to find a suitable style <.>

Well, this year is going to be a good year for improvement and experimentation, I can feel it! :3 I already have 7 pictures on the go right now, all of which are... experimental pieces with new techniques. I really didn't realise how much colour theory can make a difference to a picture... And harmonizing the colours in a certain way is essential in helping the picture appeal to the eye. Strange how I only learn these things through self-study and not through my Art courses, isn't it?

This year will also be a year of giving - I've recieved so many wonderful things from other people it's about time I gave something worthwhile back. ^_^ Gifties galore!

So, my New Year's Resolution: To improve my understanding of artwork via in-depth anatomical studies, to experiment more with traditional media, and to enhance my composition skills (i.e backgrounds, concepts and motifs).
What a mouthful XD I sincerely look forward to it though!
